BATESVILLE

Mickey R. Aldridge, CPA

Mickey joined the firm of William H. Polk & Co. in 1975 after completing a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Delta State University. On Mr. Polk's partial retirement in 2009, Mickey became managing partner of the firm. He uses a hands-on approach to support his clients in establishing practical and sound tax and financial processes. Mickey's area of concentration in public accounting has been taxation. He focuses the majority of his time on individual and corporate tax preparation, tax planning, estate planning, and client communication. His expertise includes the resolution of tax problems and representing taxpayers before the IRS and state tax authorities. Mickey holds membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). He has previously served as a peer reviewer for the Private Companies Practice Section of the AICPA. He is active in the community, serving as a board officer/member of a community bank and multiple not-for-profit organizations and as deacon and past treasurer in his church. Contact Me

 

Amy D. Byars, CPA

Amy is a partner in the firm and graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi in 1985. She has over 29 years of experience in accounting, audit and tax. Her experience includes the preparation of federal and state tax returns for various types of business entities,  individuals and tax-exempt organizations; as well as performing compilations, reviews and audits for companies involved in real estate, agriculture, non-profit organizations, medical practices, manufacturing, construction, retail establishments, and employee benefit plans. She is also a qualified reviewer and participates in numerous engagement and system peer reviews of other CPA firms. Amy holds membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). Her interests include spending time with her family, watching the Ole Miss Rebels play football, and working on home projects. Jeremy Aldridge, Accountant - Jeremy is the grandson of the firm's founder and the son of Mickey Aldridge. He is a 2008 graduate of the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. After a four month internship in 2007, Jeremy joined the firm full time in January, 2009. His experience includes monthly accounting services and preparation of federal and state tax returns for all types of business entities and individuals.Jeremy's passions away from work are fishing and hunting, including tournament crappie fishing and guiding. Contact Me

 

Cheryl Davis, Accountant - Cheryl graduated from the University of Mississippi in May,1980 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. She has been with the firm since December, 1979. Her areas of experience are in monthly bookkeeping including preparation of all required payroll and sales tax returns and preparation of income tax returns for various types of business entities and individuals.Cheryl is an active member of her church and serves on the church's finance committee. Contact Me

 

Tina File, CPA - Tina graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1992 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy and received her Master’s of Accountancy with a Tax Emphasis in 1993 from the University of Mississippi. Tina’s previous employment includes KPMG LLP, Senior Tax Manager; National Commerce Financial, Inc. (now merged with SunTrust, Inc.), Tax Director; and Deloitte Tax LLP, Senior Tax Manager. She specializes in working with partnerships, limited liability companies, and single-member entities providing tax planning and tax return preparation services. Tina also provides monthly accounting services for entities. She joined the firm in June of 2017. Tina is a member of Christ United Methodist Church, and enjoys instructing Pilates classes, taking various other exercise classes, watching SEC football, cooking/baking, and spoiling her two cats.Contact Me

 

Martha S. Flint, Accountant - Martha started her career in 1976. Prior to joining the firm in December, 1993, she had several years experience in public accounting and the private sector with a manufacturing company. Her experience includes monthly bookkeeping, payroll and preparation of federal and state tax returns for various types of business entities and individuals.She is an active member of her church, serving as a Sunday School teacher, member of the Finance Committee and member of the hand bell choir. Natalie R. Lawrence, Accountant - Natalie joined the firm in July, 2013. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harding University. Her previous experience includes five years in public accounting and ten years in accounting and finance with an international manufacturing company. Her experience includes monthly bookkeeping, payroll, cash management, and assistance in preparing federal and state tax returns. She is an active member of her church, serving as a Bible Class teacher. Peggy W. Reese, Accountant - Peggy first started to work for the firm in 1975. She has over 40 years of experience in information systems and accounting. Her involvement in the firm is primarily as IT Coordinator. Her experience includes QuickBooks and other computer consulting, monthly bookkeeping and accounting services, payroll services and preparation of federal and state returns for various types of business entities and individuals. Peggy is an active member of her church and has served in numerous positions. Betty Sanders, Administrative Assistant - Betty retired from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers after 25 years of service. She was a division chief and served two tours of duty in Germany as an accountant and budget analyst. She has been employed with the firm since 2006. GREENVILLE


 William F. Baird, CPA

Bill received an accounting degree from Mississippi State University and was a partner in Clarke, Bradley and Baker for 37 years before merging with Bridgers, Goodman and Aldridge, PLLC. He has served on the board of the Mississippi Society of CPAs as secretary and treasurer. His primary areas of practice are individual, corporate, partnership and trust income tax returns as well as tax and financial planning. He is married to Margaret and they have three children. He is an active member of the Greenville Rotary Club and First Presbyterian Church of Greenville and has served in various positions in each. David E. Clarke, CPA

Dave, a native of Hollandale, MS, graduated from Mississippi State University in 1981 with a BBA in Accounting. Upon graduation, he moved to Greenville and joined Clarke, Bradley, Baker & Co., LLP, which was founded by his father, the late Eugene S. Clarke in 1962. Dave’s primary areas of practice are individual, business, trust and non-profit tax return preparation, audit work and consulting. Dave has served as a board member of the Mississippi State Board of Public Accountancy for 10 years, including two terms as Chairman. He has also served as Chairman of the Washington County Economic Alliance, trustee of Delta Regional Medical Center and President of the Greenville Rotary Club.   He and his wife, Kit, are members of First Presbyterian Church where Dave is an ordained Elder. Margaret Baird, Administrative Assistant – Margaret received a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in reading from Mississippi University for Women. She joined the firm after retiring from teaching. Her years of experience make her a valuable asset to the firm. She is married to Bill, has three married children and 8 grandchildren. She is an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Greenville, where she has served as a deacon, elder and Sunday school teacher. She enjoys the Garden Club and other community activities. Her hobbies are gardening, reading, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

 

Breanna

Breanna Horton, Accountant - Breanna is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in Managerial Finance. She has been employed by the firm since 2016.She and her husband, Scott, have three children. She is a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenville. Eva Jackson, Accountant;- Eva has been employed by the firm since 1994. She is a member of St. James Episcopal Church and enjoys working in her yard and playing bocchi when she has time. Norma Mixon, Accountant - Norma has been an accountant with the firm since 1975. Her vast years of experience make her an invaluable asset to the firm. She has been married to Clinton for 55 years. They have 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Greenville, where she has served in various capacities. Norma spends most of her spare time at a second home in Water Valley, attending ball games and other functions of the

Mary Beth Sharman, Administrative Assistant - Mary Beth received a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi in 1980 and is a former Kindergarten teacher. She has been employed by the firm since 2016.She and her husband, Bob, have three children and are members of First Presbyterian Church of Greenville, where her husband serves as Senior Minister. Pattie Shaw, Accountant - Pattie is the information systems manager of the Greenville office. She has been with the firm for over 14 years. She is a graduate of Mississippi State University and has worked in the accounting field since her graduation. She and her husband of 28 years, Kevin, are members of Greater Faith Tabernacle Church. Sue

Sue Vance, Accountant - Sue has been employed by the firm since 2011. Prior to then, she was employed by Young, Parkerson and Co., CPA for 7 years and as the Operations Manager for Sears in Greenville for 26 years. She and her husband Ed, have been married for 40 years. They have three children, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. They are members of Swiftwater Baptist Church. When not working, she stays busing raising her 10 year old grandchild, who lives with her and her husband. Contact Me

Tammy Dalton, Accountant - Tammy was employed in 2014 by the Joe H. Hodge, CPA, LLC firm. Her work responsibilities include client relations, monthly bookkeeping, and daily office operations. She received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Home Economics from Mississippi State University in 1984. Prior to working here, Tammy worked as an office assistant for a number of years. She is married to Scott and they have three children. Kathy Hodge, Accountaint - In 1985, Kathy started her accounting career when she joined her husband, Joe H. Hodge, in opening his CPA firm. Prior to this, she worked at the Winston County Hospital handling insurance claims, accounts payable, and bookkeeping. She joined Bridgers & Goodman, PLLC in July 2017 when they acquired Joe H. Hodge, CPA, LLC.Her experience includes monthly bookkeeping, processing of payroll and payroll taxes, and preparation of individual income tax returns, as well as office management, including billing and client relations. Brandi H. Provias, Office Manager - Brandi brings over 25 years of experience to the firm and is the Office Manager of the Louisville office. She began her accounting career in high school working for her father' firm, Joe H. Hodge, CPA, LLC. She emphasizes her service focus on tax preparation, governmental auditing, construction contractors reviews, Quickbooks setup and support, and client relations.Brandi graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Accountancy. She is married to Tony and they have four children and two grandchildren.They attend First Presbyterian Church of Aberdeen. David I. Bridgers, CPA

Dave graduated as an accounting major from the University of Mississippi in 1971. He served
as an officer in the United States Air Force immediately following graduation. In 1977, Dave
founded Bridgers & Company, CPA and has practiced public accounting for 41 years. During
this time, he has gained extensive experience in audit, tax and other areas relating to public 
accounting. With the addition of a new partner, the name of the firm was changed to 
Bridgers & Goodman PLLC, in 2013. Since 2001 the firm's audit emphasis shifted towards
the area of governmental auditing. The firm has performed numerous audits of counties,
municipalities, school districts and many other governmental and non-profit entities. Dave is
a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Mississippi State Society of CPAs and the
Government Audit Quality Center. Dave has served on the MSCPA Peer Review Board and

Brandi Ajpacaja, Esq. - Brandi has been with our firm since 2014. She graduated from Mississippi College with a B.S. degree in 2008. She obtained a Juris Doctorate in 2013 from MC and a LL.M in Taxation from the University of Alabama in 2017. She is currently completing her studies in the Masters of Accountancy program at Mississippi College. Since joining our firm in 2014, most of her experience is in the area of taxation. Brandi has recently begun training in the area of auditing and has worked on several governmental and non-profit audits. Additionally, Brandi, is currently working on obtaining her CPA certificate. Dawn C. Burroughs, Office Manager -  Dawn began working with our firm in 1981. She currently serves as the office manager of the Vicksburg office. Allison R. Holcomb, Accountant - Allison has been with our firm since 2015. She graduated with an accounting degree from Delta State University. She has been trained in audit and has become very proficient at auditing counties, municipalities, school districts and other governmental and non- profit entities. Catherine W. Lott, Accountant - Catherine has been with our firm since 2015. She has an under graduate degree from the University of Alabama, masters degree from Mississippi College and obtained a post graduate accounting certificate from Mississippi College. She serves as the firm's IT person. Also, she has been trained in audit and has become very proficient at auditing counties, municipalities, school districts and other governmental and non-profit entities. Our History

BATESVILLE - The Batesville office, formerly known as William H. Polk & Co., CPAS, was established by Mr. William H. Polk, CPA in 1959, to offer general accounting services for businesses and individuals. Over the years, the small firm has grown into a full-service accounting firm providing services in the areas of income taxes, auditing, compilation, review, accounting, bookkeeping and computer consulting and support. The firm was built on "old school" principles of honesty, integrity, accountability, and a commitment to excellence. Those principles which were the foundation of the firm still hold true. The commitment to excellence includes staying updated on new laws and tax reform to meet client needs in a rapidly changing business world. 

 

 

GREENVILLE - Our Greenville branch is the forrmer Clarke, Bradley, Baker & Co., LLP. It was founded in 1962 by Eugene S. Clarke, CPA. A native of Hollandale and graduate of Mississippi State University, he began his career in Jackson, MS in 1958 with the firm Dick D. Qunn & Co. During his time there the Quinn firm merged with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG). As his Hollandale practice grew, he opened an office in Greenville and was joined by W. Elmo Bradley CPA in 1975. Mr. Bradley, a 1958 graduate of the University of Mississippi began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Houston, TX and later moved to Greenville where he practiced with Tarver, Kirby & Bradley before joining with Mr. Clarke. In 1979, Edgar V. Baker and son Robert V. Baker, CPA merged their accounting practice with the firm. Mr. Bradley passed away in 2006, Mr. Baker in 2009 and Mr. Clarke in 2016. Through the years, the firm had three of its parners serve as appointed members of the Mississippi State Board of Accountancy, three to serve as officers/board members of the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants and one is serving in the Mississippi Senate.

 

 

LOUISVILLE - Our Louisville office, formerly Joe H. Hodge, CPA, LLC firm, was founded in 1983 by Joe H. Hodge, CPA.  He received his Bachelor of Accountancy from Mississippi State University.  Joe performed governmental and hospital audits, corporate and personal tax returns, financial statements, and monthly processing.  Joe retired in 2017 and sold his practice to Bridgers & Goodman, PLLC; now known as Bridgers, Goodman & Aldridge, PLLC.

 

 

VICKSBURG - David I. Bridgers founded Bridgers & Company, CPA in 1977 in Vicksburg. In 2013, with the addition of a partner, Karl Goodman, the company name changed to Bridgers and Goodman, PLLC. In 2018, a merger was made with William H, Polk & Co., CPAS and Clarke, Bradley, Baker & Co., LLP to establish the firm of Bridgers, Goodman & Aldridge, PLLC.

Our Credentials

The firm holds membership in the Mississippi Society of CPAs, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Private Companies Practice Section of the American Institute which monitors our firm's audit and accounting practice and makes periodic peer reviews. We have undergone eight successful peer reviews and are proud of the fact that for at least eighteen years our firm has not received a letter of comment. Several of our staff members have served or are serving on various committees of the Mississippi Society of CPA's including the Governmental Audit Committee, the Accounting and Auditing Committee, and the Peer Review Committee.
